Today’s tile is a 2×4 white glossy subway tile.  The subway tile mosaic has become a staple in many classic and contemporary designs. This mosaic comes on a mesh sheet for easy installation.  This is a common brick layout mosaic that is great for kitchen backsplash, bathroom / shower wall, tub surround, etc.  The price is great for a low budget remodel or rental houses and apartments.  You can create unique designs by adding glass liners and/or borders according to suit your colors or themes.
