NS0035     Basalt Hexagon Mosaic

Today we’ve got another tile made from basalt.  It is made from 1″ straight edge hexagonal mosaics.  Hex mosaics create a great visual pattern and is great for modern designs.  This basalt mosaic comes in a smooth, tumbled finish.  The mosaics feature a straight edge cut and are packed closely onto a 12×12 mesh sheet.  The individual mosaics also feature slightly varying colors of basalt grey.

This mosaic can be used on walls and floors, and can easily fit in most environments where tile is used.  They can be used indoors and outdoors, and can also be used as backsplashes and on bathroom walls.  A sealer is recommended for wet environments, to preserve the look of the stone.  There are sealers that can add a glossy look to the tile, and some others that can help maintain the natural color of basalt.
